The public outcry resulted in the extension of formal invitations from within the community to Ambassador Taub and served to clearly rebuke the bigoted sentiment Galloway portrayed.

In an effort to inclusively co-operate, meetings were scheduled between David Taub and prominent religious leaders, counselors, and members of the faith to model the importance of setting aside religious differences for the sake of diplomacy.

Although the visit was short-lived Taub was still able to gain the overwhelming sense that the real views shared by the English people were not a reflection of Galloway’s exclusionary vision, and that the issue goes far beyond the ongoing Sunni and Shia conflict.
